Getting Ready for da big trip!!
The past few weeks have been very busy for us finalizing our hotel reservations and booking some final tours. We can't make up our minds about a two day hiking trip on the Great Wall of China. That would mean we'd camp out on the Great Wall! Sounds pretty amazing but we are a little concerned about mosquitos....well, Kait is concerned! We think it'll be worth it though. So we're leaning in the direction of going...
We both have met with our doctors at the travel clinic to get our immunizations. We will be living a very different lifestyle while traveling on the Silk Road. We've been told to be very careful of the water and to only eat food that is steaming hot! Abe has been looking up information about "Delhi Belly"....the Montezuma's revenge of India! Let's hope our tummies can handle the change...if not we've got lots of Imodiumn AD and a z-pak as back up!
This may come as a surprise to all of my family and friends but I am very excited about trying the different foods in Asia. I will NOT be trying any crazy meats or bugs (like Abe) but I will be open to trying out some new foods!
Ok, time to get some rest....will write more later!
Lots of love,
Kabe

I am so impressed at your open mindedness regarding the new foods - Jeremy (the resident foodie) will want to hear all about it! xo
Hey Kabe, this is your Mom and Dad Mills.
Be careful of Thailand, as they are in turmoil right now, with machine gun fighting in the streets. Is there a state department advisory?
Love,
Mom and Dad, for short, that would be "Mad" or perhaps, "Dom", or perhaps "Jan" or perhaps, "Doan" Well, nothing seems to work as well as "Kabe"
have fun.
Now Kait...think about Mexico and the preparation for that adventure. Eat yogurt with live active cultures for the next two weeks. I don't care whether you like it or not...eat it. It can't hurt and everyone says it helps. As for mosquitos...I recently heard that those anti-static sheets you put in your dryer are good for tons of things including for use as an insect repellent. I haven't tried it but plan to...just a suggestion.
